The first-ever Ride, Roll & Stroll takes flight on September 14 and 15 with two events to benefit Saddle Up!

The fun begins on Friday, Sept. 14, with a benefit concert [flyer] in Jamison Hall at The Factory in Franklin from 7 to 10 p.m. Critically acclaimed and highly popular Irish vocalist Maura O’Connell will be one of several artists and songwriters performing.

Tickets are $75 each and include hors d’oeurves and two drink tickets. Patron tables of eight may also be reserved for $600 and include the opportunity to meet and greet the artists after the show.

Ride-a-ThonOn Saturday, the Ride, Roll & Stroll continues with an expanded Ride-a-Thon, [flyer] which is like a walk-a-thon done on horseback. The Ride-a-Thon gives exclusive access to scenic trails on the private 300-acre Duke It Out Farm in beautiful Williamson County. Sarah and David Ingram have again generously opened up their farm to Saddle Up! for the event.

The Ride-a-Thon has been expanded to include fun activities for the entire family such as pony rides, hay rides, face painting, games and carriage rides.

Also new this year, riders and their trusty trail horses will have open riding from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. without a trail guide. Riders will receive maps for the marked trails. Riders are encouraged to use ASTM helmets. Each horse must have proof of a negative Coggins test.

To participate in the trail ride, each rider must raise a minimum of $50 in sponsorships or make a $50 donation. The $50 minimum donation includes the trail ride, a T-shirt and lunch by the Men of St. Paul’s (St. Paul’s Episcopal Church). Numerous prizes will be awarded to the riders raising the most money.

Once again, Saddle Up! riders may participate in the trail ride with a minimum of $100 in sponsorships and/or donations. The Saddle Up! riders will use a separate trail that starts from the central staging area for their safety.

Non-riders are also welcome to attend and participate in the other activities. They will be able to buy lunches from the Men of St. Paul’s.

Sponsorship opportunities are available for both events. For more details on sponsorships, to purchase tickets or get a trail ride brochure, please contact Development Coordinator Tina Carpenter at 615-794-1150 extension 3 or at .
