When Nellee first sat on a horse, her
world began to change.
After suffering a brain injury at birth, she was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at age one. For years, she struggled with balance and motor skills.
She had never known a life without endless, often discouraging, therapy sessions.
Then she found Saddle Up!
The moment she began riding, something clicked. The horse’s gentle movement loosened her muscles and built her strength.
Before long, she was asking if she could learn to vault—a blend of dance, yoga, and gymnastics on horseback.
The same child who struggled with movement and stability now stands tall on top of a horse, her balance improving and her confidence skyrocketing.
Most importantly, she’s having fun.
Her days at Saddle Up! don’t feel like therapy, but a chance to play, grow, and discover her passions.
